Dale’s Parliament Update July 2022

Dale Last MP Member for Burdekin

The state budget for 2022-2023 has been handed down and we are now looking towards Estimates.

As members of the opposition this is our opportunity to question the relevant Ministers over Government expenditure and how our services, like police and health will be impacted.

As Shadow Minister for Police and Corrective Services and Shadow Minister for Fire and Emergency Services, it’s incredibly important to me, that our men and women in blue, our orange army and our firies, have the resources they need to do their job and have the equipment to ensure their safety.

Already the budget has revealed that in the 12 months to the end of March there has been only an additional five police officers employed across the state and no mention of when a review into SES services will be released.
