THE Home Hill Community Sports Club is taking a huge step forward in improving conditions for its bowling enthusiasts, with work to commence in September on replacement of the existing bowling green.
The club was successful in obtaining a grant of $159,850 towards the upgrade of the green.
Sports Club President, Trevor Elton said work would commence on the replacement green on September 20 and would take about three weeks to complete.
The club is also undertaking fundraising activities to assist with the improvement works, as it hosts The Lindsay Butler and Shaza Leigh Country and Western Show on Friday, July 21.
A three-course dinner will be served at 7pm, while dinner music will be played by a local group.
