THE Home Hill RSL Sub-Branch held its mid-year dinner at the Crown Hotel with members and invited guests, David Kelly (left) and Ethan Pengelly (Pictured with RSL Sub-Branch President, Richard Kelly).
Ethan raised $550 selling RSL merchandise from a stall at the Home Hill Canefield Ashes, while also setting up a footpath stall to sell more.
Ethan was presented with a display case of Army Hat badges as a token of appreciation.
David, who is a member of the Burdekin Brass Band, plays a Cornet and, for the first time this year, he played The Last Post on the ANZAC Day Parade at the Home Hill High School and also at other schools.
David was presented with a certificate of appreciation. He will be in great demand for the rest of his life to play The Last Post at future ANZAC day parades.
Both these boys have a great future ahead of themselves as future leaders.
