THE Burdekin Race Club is still looking for a new President, Secretary and Treasurer to take the club forward into 2024 after only one executive position was filled at their September Annual Meeting.
Club leaders, President Ricky and Secretary/Treasurer Leanne Gudge had indicated that they would be standing down from their positions at the meeting so that they can go travelling in 2024.
However, there were no names put forward to fill their positions during the election of officers at the meeting, with only the position of Vice President being filled by Ron Scott.
Mr and Mrs Gudge are continuing in their roles at the present time, while efforts are made to try to find replacements.
Ricky Gudge has indicated that they would support the club until after the 2024 Burdekin Growers Race Day, after which they planned to move on with their caravan holidays.
