Social and Networking Event December 2024

This month the Home Hill Chamber of Commerce Social and Networking Event will be held at 5:30 pm on the second Wednesday of the month at the Home Hill Community Sports Club, 87 Ninth Avenue, Home Hill, Qld 4806.

Rachel Smith from Burdekin Life – our local Burdekin weekly newspaper – will be one of our guest speakers. We will also have an opportunity to meet our new journalist Mark Rasmussen who has hit the ground running since starting with the paper last week.

Louise Nicholas will also be talking about the opportunities for sponsorship supporting the Cravo Protected Cropping Structure to assist the Home Hill State High School. The following gives an idea as to what she will be sharing with us:

We are excited to announce the development of a cutting-edge Cravo Protected Cropping Structure at Home Hill State High School, with 80% of the project already completed. This facility is a key component of our agricultural program, offering Burdekin students the opportunity to complete a Certificate II in Production Horticulture through a dual enrolment program.

We are seeking sponsorship from local businesses in the Burdekin and Bowen regions to support the ongoing development and operation of this facility. Your support will not only enhance the learning experience for students but will also help position your business as a key partner in local agricultural education.
