THE battle to control feral pigeons in Home Hill is what could only be described as uphill.
With the high potential of reinfestation, as well as how widespread the populations of feral pigeons are, the Minister has ruled out the feasibility of a permanent control method for feral pigeons.
I know that feral pigeons have caused some very real concerns in Home Hill, not only because of the mess they leave, but the potential health hazards.
Given the Minister has referred to local laws currently in place as well as efforts council can undertake, I would hope that the state government provides any support needed to the council to assist in managing the problem.
