THE Home Hill Sub-Branch of the RSL was recently targeted by overnight intruders into their storage room adjacent to the Burdekin Brass Band Hall in the Home Hill Park.
When the Sub-Branch moved out of the former Home Hill RSL Club building on the corner of Eleventh Avenue and Tenth Street, their minimal possessions were moved into the brick room on the side of the Brass Band building.
With little of significance to be stolen, the Home Hill RSL members were surprised to see two locks on the building had been broken off, allowing the offenders to enter, where they broke into cupboards and scattered stationery.
Sub-Branch secretary, Allan Petersen said the building held service memorabilia, which was of little use to anyone else.
