School Holidays producing PBs at Groper Creek

Cooper holding 53cm Grunter and 70cm Barra

HOLIDAYING with his grandparents at Groper Creek, 13-year-old Cooper Coulter certainly had fun honing his fishing skills.

The New South Wales (but staunch Queensland NRL supporter) landed his best 53cm Grunter whilst creek fishing with a fresh prawn bait.

THE lad’s grandfather, Cyril, had caught a 65cm Barramundi when the water temperatures started to warm up and Cooper was keen to take bragging rights. Cooper’s persistence prevailed when he managed to snare a 70cm Barra whilst flicking his favourite lure not far down from the boat ramp.
