ANGLERS have just this month to land a Barramundi with the season closing at midnight on October 31 and not re-opening again until February 1, 2023.
Grey nomads, who have fished the Burdekin River and Groper Creek estuaries for decades, claimed the 2022 season was one of the better ones to date.
A reminder that anyone caught with Barramundi during the three-month closed season could face an on-the-spot $522 fine or more heftier court penalties of up to $130,000.
