NEW name, new owners and increased services . . . residents of the Home Hill region can expect much more from the former Home Hill Newsagency as positive changes are made to the business to take them into the future.
With declining numbers of newspapers available to the public through all newsagencies, operators have to look to new services and that is what is happening in Home Hill, starting with the handover of the business from former owners, Graham and Delphine Baker to their daughter and son-in-law, Shay and Ken Linton.
The family said that “over the next few weeks, customers will see changes to Home Hill News, beginning with new owners – Ken and Shay Linton”.
After nearly 18 years (actually, one month short!), Graham and Delphine Baker will be turning off their early morning alarms in preparation for retirement.
Then there will be a name change to “Home Hill News and Coffee”, with Ken and Shay “excited to bring Bear Bones Coffee to Home Hill”.
“The coffee bar will be opening in mid-October,” they announced.
“Watch our social media pages for the date.”
The new owners said they were “excited to bring something new to the business and to Home Hill”.
“We are looking forward to this exciting business adventure.”
Full details of the changes at Home Hill News & Coffee will be in the pages of the November edition of The Home Hill News.
