BARRAMUNDI season has closed with the species now off limits until the 2023 season reopens on February 1.
Anglers should also be reminded that it is prohibited to deliberately target barra for catch and release as stressing may prevent fish spawning.
A decent wet season will hopefully allow a good spawning season and even better catches next year.
