Crafts to fill Memorial Hall

Burdekin Craft Spectacular

THE Burdekin Craft Spectacular will return to the Burdekin Memorial Hall, Home Hill on Saturday, May 13 providing an ideal opportunity for residents seeking novel gifts for Mother’s Day celebrations the following day.

Open to the public from 9am to 2pm with an entry fee of only $2 per person and group bookings of 10 or more costing $10 for each group (including morning tea), the Craft Spectacular will offer a huge array of stalls showcasing the amazing talent of many residents of the Burdekin and surrounding districts.

(Group booking must be made in advance, with children under 13 being free of charge.)

Free demonstrations will take place throughout the day, including a Children’s Treasure Hunt, with each participating child receiving a prize.

Food will be available in the Dining Room, with the ever-popular High tea trolley tempting patrons with some very special treats. A Cake stall will be operating on the day as well.

The Burdekin Craft Spectacular is also the perfect place to obtain that Mother’s Day gift or to get a gift for a special friend – or even something special for yourself.

Adults and children have also been encouraged to get creative and enter the Craft Spectacular’s competition to hand make a “Childhood Treasure”.

The entry fee is $2 and the “treasures”, which will be on display, will be judged by the public with a gold coin donation.
