THE Home Hill News continues to receive requests for Ayr news to be included in our pages, especially with more people on the northern side of the river being added to our circulation numbers.
The newsletter was started because Home Hill was being ignored (and still is) by other media and we have grown from two pages originally to 12 and more over our six years.
The request to add Ayr news has grown since most regional newspapers were closed down, much to the detriment of all regional communities.
Our biggest problem is time in writing the stories and space to get all the Home Hill news in—which we will always give preference to.
However, we have accepted news from the Ayr side of the river, but contributors of those items should provide all the necessary information (with JPG photos attached as well) in note form and we will write the article for publication.
It is important that any items are sent in by people in authority with the organisation concerned and phone numbers and email addresses should be attached.
Who knows, if we get enough contributions, we may even be able to start up a specific Ayr page.
Any events where an entrance fee is charged should be accompanied by relevant advertising.
