THE Burdekin Artisan Community Association Inc. is urging prospective attendees at its unique Rags to Runway event to get their tickets early to ensure their place at the Memorial Hall on the postponed date of June 17, 2023.
The event tests the skills of participating seamstresses, who use their design talents and sewing machine skills to turn valueless garments, that may have been sitting in a cupboard or on a shelf in an Opportunity Shop for long periods, into outstanding fashions that will stand out in the crowd at any major event.
Tickets are available at $40 per person from the Burdekin Artisan Community Association Inc. at 170 Arts on the Avenue or online at Trybooking.com .
All funds raised will stay in the Home Hill district supporting the many artists who display their varying forms of artwork at the Artisan Community Shop at 170 Eighth Avenue, Home Hill, adjacent to Ashworths Rock Shop.
