Dale says – Cost-of-Living Measures

Dale Last MP Member for Burdekin

AS YOU may be aware, the Queensland Government has announced the Cost-of-Living Relief package for households and eligible small businesses.

With soaring household expenses, I have seen an increase in the number of constituents reaching out to me regarding applying for and eligibility to receive, the newly announced rebates for household energy bills. All Queensland households will automatically receive a $550 ‘Cost of Living’ rebate on their electricity bill in 2023-24.

Vulnerable households already receiving the $372 rebate will receive a $700 ‘Cost of Living’ rebate.

For most households, the rebate will be split into instalments and automatically credited to electricity bills on a quarterly basis.

For more information, please call 13 74 68 or visit the Queensland Government website at https://www.treasury.qld.gov.au/programs-and-policies/energy-bill-relief/ .

Eligible Queensland small businesses will receive $650 in the Energy Bill Relief Rebate.

The rebate will be split into instalments and automatically credited to electricity bills on a quarterly basis, with the first instalment applied by the end of July 2023 and will appear on electricity bills for those eligible small businesses.
