Festivities begin in Home Hill

Home Hill Christmas Lights 2021

IT IS pleasing to see that there are some early starters in the Christmas decoration stakes in Home Hill, as homes are provided with the Christmas spirit and large amounts of lighting in various forms and colours.

The Chamber of Commerce will once again be sending the judges around later in December for find the best individual home and the best neighbour- hood group (six homes or more on one or both sides of the street in the one block) and it is to be hoped that the effort of past years is surpassed with more home decorations and lighting displays.

It does not take much to add the festive spirit to a residential property and that is evident from those who were setting up their displays before the end of November—just a strand or lighting or a “Merry Christmas” sign can help to get the message across.

The judges drive around all parts of the town— just make sure you have your lights on when they appear around the town’s streets.

The Council has done its bit again with the large Christmas tree set up in the central business district and we hope our businesses will also make their own contribution with window decorations and more lighting.

It all helps to make the town look more positive in the lead-up to the Christmas holiday period.

The Home Hill News extends the Season’s Greetings to all our readers for a Happy Christmas and a bright and prosperous 2023 ahead for everyone.
