THE Burdekin Shire Council is offering residents of Shire communities a free Community Information Session to introduce the Shire’s new Council Planning Scheme December 2022, which commenced on March 1, 2023.
The information sessions will take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the Burdekin Theatre Foyer in Queen Street, Ayr from 7.15am to 8.30am.
The sessions offer the chance to “Learn about Council’s recently developed Planning Scheme, designed to assist in planning for growth and change in the region over the next 20 years”.
A complimentary light breakfast will be served from 7.15am, while a coffee van will also be on site to purchase any additional items.
Presentations will be provided by council officers and consultant planning firms, Brazier Motti and Milford Planning.
Anyone planning to attend should respond to the Town Planning section of the Burdekin Shire Council at planning@burdekin.qld.gov.au by July 3, 2023.
