Combined Effort to host Ambulance Conference

Ayr and Home Hill Local Ambulance Committee Members

MEMBERS of Local Ambulance Committees (LAC) from all over Queensland will travel to the Burdekin over the weekend of August 11, 12 and 13, 2023, as the Ayr and Home Hill LAC Branches host the State Conference for Local Ambulance Committees.

The Conference will commence on Friday Night, August 11 with Registration of attendees and a “Meet and Greet” to be held at the Burdekin Theatre in Ayr.

The actual Conference Sessions will be held at the Burdekin Memorial Hall in Home Hill on Saturday and Sunday, August 12 and 13, with the sessions beginning at 8.30am each day.

The event is expected to attract up to 200 people from across Queensland, including the QAS Commissioner, Craig Emery. 

The Conference will also feature a display comprising of an old Ambulance, a Motorbike and the Educational CPR Van, together with the new Four-Wheel-Drive Ambulance that is now in use at the Ayr Ambulance Station.

That display is open to the public to attend and to inspect on Saturday in the area beside the Memorial Hall, where the former CWA Hall was situated.
