WITH an application submitted by the Bowen Pipeline Company to the Burdekin Shire Council for the proposed project to construct a water pipeline from the Burdekin River near Home Hill to Bowen, the Chamber is maintaining its hopes that the project planning moves forward quickly to approvals in near future.

Chamber appreciation for Cane cutting Stalwarts
THE Home Hill Chamber of Commerce presented Certificates of Appreciation to members of the Home Hill community who have maintained the cane fields in readiness for past Hand Cane Cutting Championships, and the staff of local community radio station, Sweet FM for their ongoing support for the Burdekin Community.

Artisan Markets expanding
THE Burdekin Artisan Community Association will further expand its monthly Car Boot and Market stalls in September by adding a section for people wanting to sell fashions. The markets will be held on Sunday, September 11 from 8am-12pm.

Ephemera – the first Major Festival Event
THE Home Hill Harvest Festival is on its way in 2022. One of the first major events of the festival period, the annual Canefields Ephemera, will open up to the public on Sunday, September 11 in Lloyd Mann Gardens in Eighth Avenue. Doors open 3pm with a 3:30 pm start.
