Tennis Teams accept Challenge to “Rally for a Cure”
16 TEAMS took up the challenge from members of the Home Hill Tennis Association to “Rally for a Cure” with locals and visitors playing continuously at the Home Hill tennis complex for 12 hrs from 10am to 10pm to raise funds towards finding a cure for brain cancer.
Home Hill and the Foley Shield
HOME HILL was admitted to the Foley Shield Rugby League competition in 1949, as part of a newly created “central zone” that also included Herbert River and Charters Towers.
Rally for a Cure showing Major Support among the Community
THE members of the Home Hill Tennis Association again showing that when a major fundraising event is held in our town, the community comes out in force to support it, including many visitors from other areas. The Rally for a Cure displayed an abundance of support from our community.
